When we do workouts for our abs, we generally work on the abs, which is more up than doing a lower abs workout.
One might wonder why you should train and strengthen your lower abs, the reason we need a strong lower abs is to make sure that it can help support our body weights while working out and thus protecting us and preventing us from injuring ourselves while working out. The last thing you need when trying to achieve your dream abs body is to be out of action while performing workouts, injury to the back can stay with your forever, and sometimes you even need to undergo surgeries.
While it might not affect you now, you will notice the injuries and extend of the injury in the long run especially when you grow older. Incidentally, the lower abdominal muscles are also the toughest to strengthen as such here are some important exercises that you can use to achieve the desirable effects.
-Crunches does not help your lower abs, thus you should be doing sit ups too to help strengthen them.
-Lie flat on your stomach and keep lifting only the top half of your body in the air.
-Lift your legs towards your chest area while holding on to a bar, working out that lower abs section.
-While lying down on your back, have your knees bent but keep your feet flat. Lift your lower body up and hold, release and repeat for a couple of reps.
